Our house in pictures

We introduce ourselves. Just have a look at our house. We have put together some pictures so that you can get a first impression of our house and the life with us. But of course we would also be pleased to welcome you personally.

The St. Elisabeth Wohnen & Pflege was opened in January 2015. It is ideally located between Cologne and Bonn. The modern building has two and a half floors. In the entrance area on the first floor there is a public cafeteria and a chapel.

A spacious, sheltered green area with garden invites to enjoy. Raised beds, water elements and wind chimes stimulate the senses. Sports equipment suitable for seniors offers the opportunity to train one's own fitness. The garden is directly accessible for people with dementia, partly also from the rooms. A circular path surrounds the center of the garden. Residents, guests and staff meet there to exchange ideas, relax and experience with all their senses.

Feel like at home

Our barrier-free rooms are bright and friendly furnished. There are 68 single rooms (incl. bathroom) and six double apartments with two rooms and bathroom each. The single rooms have a size of about 17 square meters. Residents can furnish the room with their own furniture or furniture suitable for senior citizens. The basic equipment includes electrically adjustable nursing beds, a bedside table, a closet and a coat closet in the entrance area. Opposite the modern nursing beds are connections for television, telephone and Internet. The bathroom is of course barrier-free.

Spacious communal areas are the feel-good center of social life within the communities. There is a comfortable, fully functional kitchen, a spacious dining room and a comfortable, senior-friendly sofa corner, which invites you to linger, talk or watch TV together. From the common area, there is floor-level access to the balcony or terrace with seating.

Feel-good spaces

We want to make good orientation and living quality tangible. Therefore, as much daylight as possible falls into the living and common rooms. In addition, there is a minimum light intensity in corridors and common rooms, which enables the perception of the time of day through the interaction of daylight incidence and artificial lighting. Strong colors with clearly visible contrasts in important places help our residents to find their way around. The residential units also differ in their design, which is based on the region. The former monastery garden is the inspiration for the names of the individual areas.

Quality is not a matter of chance, but has to be worked out anew every day. Quality that benefits our residents combines many aspects that work closely together to ensure the desired quality. These include, among others:

  • Quality of care (quality circle)
  • Hygiene
  • Housekeeping
  • and quality management.

Quality management at our GFO Zentrum Wohnen & Pflege St. Elisabeth Pflege & Wohnen means that our structures, processes and concepts ensure that we provide the best possible services. This also means that we constantly put our services to the test, in an effort to both continuously develop ourselves further and to be able to withstand external reviews at any time.

Advisory board represents the interests of our residents

The user/resident council at the GFO Center Wohnen & Pflege St. Elisabeth represents the interests of the residents. It is elected by the residents of a facility at regular intervals.

The chairwoman of our residents' council is Helga Stackmann, the deputy is Sabine Kistel.

Our residents' advisory council consists of a total of three people.

The rights and duties of the residents' council are defined by law. These include, in particular, a say and the right to information on the topics of accommodation, care, conditions of stay, home rules, catering and leisure activities.

The residents' council is therefore also an important link between the residents on the one hand and the facility management on the other.

Our partners:inside

Our residents may have various wishes as well as health impairments that require a wide range of services. In addition to our services, we would also like to offer and arrange services for our residents, which we therefore offer in cooperation.

The GFO Center Living & Care St. Elisabeth maintains many external partnerships and is constantly seeking new contacts.

The cooperation and cultivation of contacts with the parishes, the city, local associations and other groups and organizations are of great importance.

Close cooperation exists with:

External offers and services enable us to provide the best possible care for our residents.
